Yesterday I was checking on Etsy new treasures to add in my account and suddenly I saw a gorgeous earrings that captured my attention. They are exquisite and elegant that can perfect fit some of my clothes.

I contacted Pamela Deen (the owner) looking for more information. She told me a beautiful story about why she loves vintage and how she started with her business after her retirement as a teacher:

“I love to quilt and I am swamped in them! I love to create with the different quilt patterns, designs on the fabric, the colors and the color combinations. I love to restore old quilts even more. I search for old flour sack material for reasonable prices and others look for me too. I use this material to fix the older quilts. It is such a wonderful feeling to bring new life to something others would throw away!
Then in 2010 I retired after teaching 30 years. I first wrote that novel I have been wanting to write, The Groaning Bridge, available at Amazon. I am currently writing the prequel, The Brede Giant.
Then six months ago, I found estate sales! So Etsy saved me!!! I sell some of the items I buy so I don’t become a hoarder! LOL
I don’t have to own everything, I just love to look at them and learn about them. I pass on the items for low prices so I can continue to shop and buy without having to go without buying food! LOL”

You can also check some of her  exquisite vintage items like these ones:

Child or Lap Quilt Blue and Pink Handmade Baby Quilt

This is a Small Quilt for a Child, a Baby or for use as a Lap Quilt. Being light weight, it is a perfect lap quilt for elderly people. It measures 40″ x 50″. Photo 4 also show the back of the quilt. More info.http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/125227534/child-or-lap-quilt-blue-and-pink?ref=shop_home_active&ga_search_query=baby%2Bquilt

3 Geisha Girl Saucer

This is one Saucer with 3 Geisha girls. It would be lovely in a stand as a decoration in any decor. There is a bit of paint missing on one girl’s clothing (see photo 4). Of course it looks bigger in the photo. More info: http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/128113460/3-geisha-girl-saucer-japan-antique?ref=shop_home_active

Vintage Bow-tie Quilt Cutter Primitive Crafts Cotton as Batting

This is a GREAT old Bow-tie Quilt. It has lots of blowouts, but no holes. (see photo2). The edges have been re-sewn. This looks great in a primitive setting as is. This is also great for cutting up for crafts. More info: http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/150028623/vintage-bow-tie-quilt-cutter-primitive?ref=shop_home_active

Important! Pamela will sell overseas so if you would message her first for an exact quote on shipping.
She always combine items to save on shipping.
If  you message her their zip code, Pamela usually can save you
even more money on shipping by measuring the items weight and using your zip code.

I love Etsy! Why?

Pamela is so happy with her shop. She says: “Etsy is wonderful! There is no pressure to put items on in a certain time limit. NO one has been rude. Everyone here has been so friendly. Customers have been easy to deal with and communication has been pleasant. I love my Etsy shop. I can easily maneuver around the site. I can edit my items with no hassle. I can customize an ad for a customer within seconds.
Etsy has been the best site I have ever used for online sales! ”
